CFS Links Up With CVSA For Safety and Security
The Council of Fleet Specialists has established ties with CVSA, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Allianc

The Council of Fleet Specialists has established ties with CVSA, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance
, a not-for-profit organization that promotes commercial motor vehicle safety and security by providing leadership to enforcement, industry and policy makers.
Connecting with CVSA will help enable CFS raise awareness of the role that distributors play in the heavy-duty market by highlighting the significant position they hold between manufacturers and end-users. CFS will also share information and understanding on new products and upgrades to the commercial vehicle community.
In return, CFS will learn from CVSA’s products, publications and training materials, which update members on more effective safety programs and regulatory reports. CFS will also be represented at conferences with enforcement officials and other CVSA members and on committees to discuss safety-related issues.
“Our connection with CVSA will greatly benefit our organization,” said CFS president Frank Szabo. “It will help us build relationships and contacts with technology and safety-related organizations and give us access to a wealth of new resources.”
CVSA is an association of state, provincial, and federal officials responsible for the administration and enforcement of motor carrier safety laws in the United States, Canada and Mexico. It was established in 1980 to promote an environment free of commercial vehicle accidents and incidents.
Formed in 1967 by industry leaders, CFS remains the largest and most effective association benefiting the independent heavy-duty distribution channel by bringing together major players for critical mass and economical implementation.
