Contract Freighters Inc. (CFI), a Con-way company and international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has named its monthly driver award recipients for October 2007.
Company Driver of the Month is Francis "Butch"
Untiedt, who started working for CFI in 1995 and has driven over two million miles. He lives in Trenton, Mo.
The Company Team of the Month is Michael and Loetta Ruyf - both of whom began driving for CFI in 1999. The couple lives in Joplin, Mo.
Contractor Driver of the Month is Philip Sefiane, a Houston, Texas resident who began his career with CFI in 2003.
And the Contractor Team of the Month is William and Victoria Bumgardner, who began their careers at CFI in 1991 and 1997, respectively. They live in Helotus, Texas.
Each driver and team is automatically nominated for the 2007 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over-the-road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards
Acquired by Con-way in 2007, CFI was combined with Con-way Truckload to create an organization that employs more than 3,000 drivers with a fleet of 2,700 tractors and 8,600 trailers operating throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada.
