The organizers of Heavy Duty Dialogue 2010 have lined up Denny Slagle, CEO of North American Trucks, to present a panel discussion on "Trucking - A Ten Year View."
Slagle will provide a major manufacturer's perspective on how trucking can remain viable and sustainable in the face of the many significant challenges and changes coming in the next decade.
North American Trucks includes Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks of North America.
Slagle will be joined by Sandeep Kar, global program manager of commercial vehicle research at Frost and Sullivan, and Clem Driscoll, president of CJ Driscoll and Associates. The two will discuss the impact of advanced safety, environmental and energy technologies. The panel discussion will be moderated by Jim Mele, editorial director of Penton Media's Fleet Owner magazine.
"The commercial vehicle industry is making major strides in the areas of fuel economy, emissions and safety systems," said Timothy Kraus, president and chief operating officer of Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association. "Bringing together a major manufacturer CEO and two other experts provides a unique opportunity for attendees to hear viewpoints that affect our entire industry."
Heavy Duty Dialogue '10 will be held at the Mirage in Las Vegas, on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, immediately preceding Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week '10.
