Celadon Group Inc., an Indianapolis-based truckload carrier, has been certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection and the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency
for participation in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and the Partners in Protection (PIP) programs.
As a certified carrier, Celadon will be eligible for faster cargo processing at borders and is dedicated to investing in security-enhancing business practices. The company will continue to provide exceptional customer service while helping to improve border security.
"Celadon became CT-PAT & FAST certified in March of this year in anticipation of the new security measure at both the northern & southern border crossings," said Tom Glaser, executive vice president of Celadon Group. "We are diligently working with Customs, customers in North America and Mexican carriers to coordinate information flow and maintain traffic flow."
Canada and the United States (U.S.) have agreed to align, to the maximum extent possible, their customs commercial programs along their shared border. C-TPAT and PIP certifications are part of the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program.
