Cat Lift Trucks Offers Truck to Community Organization or Company
Cat Lift Trucks announced it will award a 5,000-pound capacity hand pallet truck to a local company or non-profit organization that could use the tool to help the Houston, Texas, community

The company said it will also donate three $1,000 scholarships to area students.
According to the Cat press release, companies or groups that could make good use of the hand pallet truck should submit a 400-word essay on why they deserve it, and how they would use the hand pallet truck. Deadline for entries is April 15, 2005.
Essays should be faxed or e-mailed to Tammy Tiedt at 713-365-1626 or tammy.tiedt@mcfa.com.
The winning organization will be required to collect the hand pallet truck from the Cat Lift Trucks headquarters, which is located on Beltway 8 near I-10 West.
The hand pallet truck is engineered from thick homogenous steel and the frame features temperature-controlled robotic welds to maintain material strength. Other features include an ergonomic handle for comfortable, easy maneuvering and a one-piece cast-iron modular pump with a controlled-lowering rate valve to reduce product jarring.
Cat is the official lift truck provider to the 2005 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Details to compete for the scholarships and the pallet jack giveaway are available at www.cat-lift.com.
