Castrol Heavy Duty Lubricants has received ISO 9001 certification, an internationally recognized distinction reserved for companies that maintain the highest operating standards.
This certification was issued following a comprehensive, four-day inspection of the company’s quality management system by an independent certification body.
"The ISO certification assures our existing and potential customers that we have reliable measures in place to provide them with excellent service," says Roger Wilkinson, ISO and Supply Chain Projects manager for Castrol HDL. "This honor is a tribute to our team of employees that strive to provide the best solutions to our customers, on time, every time."
Castrol’s assessment for the ISO certification consisted of analysis of the customer service, manufacturing and distribution processes and analysis of the operations of the used-engine oil laboratory through the use of extensive employee interviews. The assessment was conducted by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance, a leading international certification body.
Castrol HDL pursued ISO certification because independent research has shown that implementing a quality management system and achieving ISO 9001 certification can result in significant, measurable benefits, including improved levels of customer service, improved planning and control and increased productivity and market share.
Castrol Heavy Duty Lubricants Inc. produces top-quality lubricants, which are backed by innovative programs and services for commercial vehicles and off-road equipment. The company is headquartered in Baltimore, Md.
