CargoLinx of Toronto has introduced a new North American freight-matching service.
CargoLinx offers a web site at www.cargolinx.com, but it also provides toll-free telephone access targeting owner-operators and small fleets who do not always have Internet access.
For shippers, CargoLinx posts loads for a flat subscription fee of $10 per month ($15 in Canada). Rates for carriers start at $10 per month for independent owner-operators with one to two vehicles and range up to $100 per month for trucking firms with up to 100 vehicles.
The company also charges carriers a flat fee of up to $45 ($65 in Canada) for each truckload matched and picked up by the carrier. CargoLinx expects most carriers to do business by phone, using CargoLinx representatives to search the database for them.
CargoLinx is offering a free trial month of service to shippers and carriers who enroll before the end of the year. To register for CargoLinx call 1-866-474-9494 or go to www.cargolinx.com.
