Cadec Corp., Londonderry, N.H., a leading provider of onboard logistics management to the transportation industry, has announced the commercial availability of TempTracker, a temperature monitoring and reporting device used in trailers.

With the ability to wirelessly monitor up to three separate locations within the trailer, TempTracker enables refrigerated and frozen food haulers in transporting perishable foods at the right temperature, while also providing documentation to certify the product was kept at a temperature required to meet food compliance standards.
Used with Cadec's Mobius TTS onboard mobile logistics management system, TempTracker will audibly and visually warn the driver if the temperature in the trailer does not meet the pre-determined standards set by management. By sounding an alert before the temperature reaches an unsafe level, drivers have the ability to react in time.
New reports included with TempTracker can display temperature discrepancies by date, vehicle, trailer or driver. Temperature readings for each sensor are reported during deliveries, pickups, account delays, drive starts and hooks. Additionally, if a temperature alarm occurs, a detailed report showing the time, maximum and average temperatures, trailer ID and duration is available to the office.
"We designed the product to serve both as a proactive means of hauling refrigerated foods as well as a means of providing the necessary documentation to demonstrate that a load was hauled to compliance," said Les Dole, president and CEO of Cadec Corp.
Active in the commercial trucking industry for more than 25 years, Cadec provides onboard computers throughout the transportation industry with a range of onboard computing devices installed at more than 3,000 customer sites. For more information, call (800) 252-2332. Or visit www.cadec.com
