Cadec Corp., Londonderry, N.H., reported that Wildwood Express, a California-based carrier, has seen a substantial increase in driver productivity and improved customer service levels using the Mobius TTS Mobile Information System

.
A Cadec customer for more than 20 years, each Wildwood Express truck is equipped with the Mobius TTS system, the most recent technology solution from Cadec. The system helps drivers and dispatchers make sure each load is delivered on time.
Overall increased fuel efficiency and improved driver performance are seen as the key benefits from using Mobius TTS for Wildwood Express.
“The combination of GPS and real-time communication gives us a visibility that we wouldn’t otherwise have. Drivers know exactly how much time they have left to get from point A to B and can manage their time accordingly,” said Mark Woods, owner of Wildwood Express.
“This knowledge connects to multiple areas of our company and we have seen an increase in productivity. The system has contributed to enhanced customer service, lower fuel costs, and improved vehicle maintenance.”
The driver’s response to the system has been positive. “The drivers like the simplicity of the system. We have actually had drivers leave the company and then come back because they didn’t want to go back to the handwritten logs used elsewhere,” continued Woods. “The driver display is easy to read and simple to train on.”
