Eaton Corp. has announced that Grantham Custom Tailored Service of Caseyville, Ill., will equip its 300 trucks with Fleet Resource Manager - Eaton's new mobile resource management solution for the trucking industry.
Grantham specializes in the hauling of bulk commodities in the Midwest and Florida, where the company maintains a branch operation in Kissimmee, Fla.
"Over the years we have developed an excellent working relationship with Eaton," said Greg Grantham, operation manager. "Because of that and the wealth of capabilities that they demonstrated to us with Fleet Resource Manager, we determined that Eaton had the most to offer in terms of an equipment management solution. We fully expect the efficiency and productivity improvements to help lower our operating costs and ultimately result in better overall service to our customers."
Fleet Resource Manager is an integrated mobile resource management solution that will help any truck fleet improve productivity, customer service and vehicle and driver management, while decreasing field operating costs by reducing miles driven, minimizing idle time, preventing unauthorized vehicle use, accurately reporting delivery and service time, and wirelessly transmitting vehicle diagnostic data.
Fleet Resource Manager was developed through an alliance between Eaton Corp. and @Road Inc. The Roadranger Solution is a combination of the best drivetrain, chassis and safety components from Dana Corp. and Eaton Corp., backed by Roadranger customer service.
