Brenntag Receives Responsible Distribution Excellence Award
The National Association of Chemical Distributors has honored Brenntag North America, headquartered in Reading, Pa., with its 2010 Responsible Distribution Excellence Award

Brenntag North America, a member of NACD for 25 years, was recognized during the association's annual Operations Seminar and Trade Show (OPSEM) in Austin for demonstrating outstanding performance in its responsible distribution program. David Garner, vice president of operations, and Shawn Wiram, director of safety, were present to receive the award on behalf of Brenntag North America.
"NACD is proud to recognize Brenntag North America as the fifth recipient of this award," said Bruce Schechinger, NACD's chairman of the board and president of BHS Marketing LLC. "Their commitment to process improvement, their involvement in local communities, and the education of their employees have established them as high achievers."
"Our personnel are dedicated to the on-going implementation of responsible distribution," said Garner. "We believe this process brings value to not only our organization, but to our customers and suppliers as well. Responsible distribution is also recognized by outside organizations as a viable demonstration of our commitment to sustainability. In addition, we believe that responsible distribution provides a standardized operating approach within our industry and has truly raised the bar in member company performance requirements."
