Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems named Todd Swales director of fleet sales.
In this newly created position, Swales will oversee the company's relationships with its fleet customers. Swales will direct all aspects of fleet business activities, including purchasing, maintenance, finance, and warranty and customer service. He will also manage the introduction of new Bendix products to fleet customers and oversee the process of familiarizing fleet customers with modifications to existing Bendix products.
Prior to joining Bendix, Swales spent nine years at Meritor, serving as manager of field sales and service for Meritor Wabco since 2010. His other positions at Meritor included senior manager of global customer satisfaction and product line manager.
Swales earned his bachelor's degree in resource development at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.
"By creating the director of fleet sales position, we are renewing and increasing our focus to serve the needs of our fleet customers, as well as establishing a 'voice of the customer' within Bendix," says Joe McAleese, Bendix president and CEO.
