Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems’ ABS-based electronic stability technology will be the focus of a segment on cable television’s “World Business Review” highlighting innovative safety technologies.

The segment is scheduled to air at 7:30 a.m. ET Tuesday on Bravo in most eastern U.S. markets and 11:30 p.m. PT Wednesday on CNBC in a number of markets in the west. Check your local listings for the specific time and date.
Fred Andersky, Bendix electronics marketing manager, spoke on behalf of the company to explain the unique features and benefits of Bendix ABS-6 Advanced with ESP (electronic stability program) and is quoted extensively in the piece. The system’s full-stability functionality enables it to mitigate the widest margin of jackknife and rollover stability events on the widest range of driving surfaces among market-available stability systems.
There has been a great deal of visibility regarding stability for automotive, SUV and light truck applications with the recent announcement of NHTSA requiring this technology by 2012. Andersky stated that the Bendix segment in this edition of “World Business Review” highlights that effective stability technology is also readily available today for commercial vehicle applications.
Bendix ESP became the first commercially available full-stability system in 2005 and it has since been added as standard or optional equipment for most Class 8 tractors and select vocational trucks by International, Kenworth, Mack, Peterbilt and Volvo.
