Cold, windy weather couldn't dampen the excitement at the second annual Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Competition last week during the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.

Presented by Newport Communications as a Stars & Stripes event, the competition was sponsored by Avery Dennison, Bostrom, Chevron, Continental Tires, and Peterbilt.
Best of Show Combo went to Bill Sandvik and Sandvik Trucking for their maroon and pink 1992 Peterbilt 379 and 1993 Ravens flatbed trailer, nicknamed "Delirious Dezire."
Best of Show Bobtail was awarded to Justin Thornhill and Trees Forever for their tan and maroon 1986 Peterbilt 359.
Prizes were also awarded in each of 30 classes. First place winners in each class were as follows:
