Trucks based in the one of the nation’s smallest states are soon going to have to comply with a law requiring them to make a big noise.
Legislation signed by Gov. Jack Markell requires commercial vehicles registered in Delaware that have a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more to have an audible backup signal. Those that have a backup camera are exempt from the law, which takes effect the first of 2014. Farm vehicles are exempt from the law.
