Autocar Trucks has added a new parts distribution center in Reno, Nev., according to an announcement by Chuck Kosmin, president of Autocar Parts.
"The new facility will significantly improve our ability to respond to the parts needs of the customers of our West Coast and Intermountain dealerships," said Kosmin.
"The new facility is also part of our continuing commitment to all our dealers to improve our call response times and fill rates," added Kosmin. "West Coast and Intermountain dealers will now have a 4 p.m. daily order cut-off time for parts stocked in Reno, plus we will be stocking the top 70% of Autocar parts in Reno."
When added to the growing Autocar distribution facilities in West Chicago, Ill., the new, fully staffed parts center brings the company’s combined warehousing space to more than 145,000 square feet. In addition, the Reno facilities have been renovated to significantly increase the number of parts that can be stocked there.
Mike Mueller, an experienced warehouse distribution manager who comes to Reno from the company’s West Chicago facility, manages the Reno facility. He had previously worked at Paccar Parts of Rockford, Ill.
