ATRO Engineered Systems announces the expansion of its Sullivan, Mo., manufacturing facilities.
ATRO, an ISO 9001 certified company, manufactures polyurethane bushing and suspension components for the heavy truck, bus and military market. The expansion increases the size of the facility to 25,000 square feet and includes the installation of an additional full capacity production line. Staff has been added in production as well as the research and development, quality control and engineering.
"ATRO has more than doubled its aftermarket product line in the past year," says George Sturmon, chairman. "With the expansion, we will be in a position to maintain our timely delivery record as well as accommodate the introduction of new parts currently under development."
ATRO has also experienced strong growth in the OE sector. ATRO's patented Greaseless Spring Eye Technology is an option on Volvo model VN suspensions, and other truck manufacturers have made inquiries. Meritor’s A-19 suspension uses ATRO's Free Rotation Design Bar Pin Bushing, and ATRO's newly patented Low Friction Rotating Bushing is used on all lift axle applications from Silent Drive.
In addition, ATRO has a nationwide fleet program that is implemented through it's distribution network and can be customized to meet a fleet’s specific needs, allowing fleet managers to control suspension-related maintenance costs, labor and downtime on a predictable schedule with a three-year parts and labor warranty period.
