The American Trucking Associations announced Quality Distribution as a returning member and Cargo Transporters Inc. as a new member.
Quality Distribution, Inc. operates the largest chemical bulk tank truck network in North America through its wholly owned subsidiary, Quality Carriers, Inc., and is a leading provider of ISO container and depot services through its wholly owned subsidiary, Boasso America.
Quality primarily transports a broad range of chemical products and provides its customers with logistics and other value-added services. Quality manages approximately 6,400 trailers and 2,800 tractors and operates approximately 100 terminals nationwide through its affiliates.
Cargo Transporters, Inc. is a trucking operation based in Claremont, N.C. The carrier specializes in truckload dry van freight with an emphasis on long-term contracts with shippers, as well as servicing those customers who require time-definite or just-in-time service. Founded in 1982, the company has 395 power units and 1,400 trailers.
"The ATA has a superior lobbying influence in DC versus other trucking associations," said Gary Enzor, CEO of Quality. "They have a great presence in the industry and have continuously proven that they can get things done that benefit both drivers and companies alike. This is the type of representation that the liquid chemical companies need."
