The American Trucking Associations will salute the importance of the trucking industry at the Great American Truck Show (GATS) in Dallas Aug. 23-25. ATA programs designed to enhance and expand the industry will be showcased

during the three-day event.
ATA's newly launched National Truck Driver Recruitment Campaign, a nationwide effort to promote truck driving as a career, will host a booth to showcase www.GetTrucking.com. The web site will be prominently featured throughout the show with an advertising campaign designed to let the public know the industry is putting new drivers behind the wheel every day. In addition, representatives will be on hand to explain the site's registration process and the benefits of signing up.
Captains of America's Road Team will be on hand to discuss the importance of professionalism and the image of the industry. ART captains will relate their million-mile accident-free records and discuss the significance of making safety an underlying aspect of being a driver. Captains will be located in the ART Booth and also throughout the show.
Share the Road professional drivers will be available to discuss the public education highway safety campaign during the show. Drivers will be located throughout the show to talk with attendees and other professional drivers.
Finally, the 'Good Stuff. Trucks Bring It' campaign will drive home the integral role the trucking industry plays in making the nation's economy work. The 'Good Stuff' campaign lets the public know the importance of the men and women making just-in-time deliveries. The image-enhancing campaign will be displayed throughout the show, including a "Good Stuff" decaled tractor-trailer located in Hall D at the entrance to the Pride and Polish exhibit.
