Artic Express and Fikes Choose Maptuit
Maptuit Corp., Burlington, Mass., announced that two new fleets have installed products from their FleetNav Suite of navigation and fleet optimization tools

Maptuit Corp., Burlington, Mass., announced that two new fleets have installed products from their FleetNav Suite of navigation and fleet optimization tools.
Arctic Express of Hilliard, Ohio, and Fikes Truck Line of Hope, Ark. will utilize the software on over 850 vehicles.
Arctic Express will be using FleetNav Directions, a least-cost routing tool and FleetNav Alert, a monitoring and reporting tool, on its 375 truck refrigerated fleet servicing the 48 contiguous states.
“We used to spend 15-20 minutes setting up each customer’s directions but since Maptuit geo-codes each customer location, we now spend only a few minutes and have driver specific directions instead of generic directions that each driver has to interpret on their own,” said Ron Pepple, operations manager for Arctic.
Fikes Truck Line, Inc. is a 100% owner/operator flatbed company, serving several fortune 500 companies.
“We chose Maptuit because their product allowed our contractors to obtain truck approved directions to job sites and customers any time, day or night. Having this capability is vital to driver retention,” stated Tony Lyle, systems manager for Fikes Truck Line.
Maptuit provides web-based reporting and management tools to create and maintain precise address information for all customers and delivery locations. It is a hosted, subscription-based solution that integrates with fleet management and mobile communications systems.
The Maptuit FleetNav Suite of transportation optimization solution includes; FleetNav Directions, a real-time directions and route optimization solution; FleetNav Fuel, real-time fuel pricing information within a fleet’s fueling network and FleetNav Alert, which provides a real-time view into a fleet’s activities.
