Fleet maintenance software provider Arsenault Associates, Atco, N.J., announced that more than a dozen customers recently signed on to use Arsenault software over the Internet despite the economic slowdown.
The company also announced discounts to members of the Fleetcommunity.com online resource for fleet managers.
According to President Charles Arsenault, Arsenault offers its Dossier32 Windows-based vehicle maintenance software as an Application Service Provider (ASP). Arsenault calls the ASP service 24/7 Fleet Online.
Arsenault said the ASP alternative to installing software on-site has attracted a varied roster of clients, from Transervice Lease Corp., Lake Success, N.Y., with more than 2,800 units, to Bill & Ray's Auto Service, Oskaloosa, Iowa, with only three vehicles but more than 5,000 parts in inventory.
Other new Arsenault customers named are Ferrelgas Partners, L.P. of Liberty, Mo.; Time Warner Communications in Nederland, Texas; the Public Works Department of Benton County, Wash.; System Maintenance, Los Alamitos, Calif.; Badger Freight Service, West Allis, Wisc.; Pacific Northwest Motor Freight, Seattle, Wash., and Contract Express Ltd. of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
Customers of 24/7 Fleet Online see the same screens that installed Dossier32 customers see. They enter data in the same way and have access to the same management tools and reports; they reap the same benefits, including preventive maintenance scheduling, parts inventory, warranty tracking and more.
However, ASP customers pay on a monthly subscription basis, which can be covered by a credit card and often treated as a deductible current expense.
Arsenault Associates is also offering discounts to members of Fleetcommunity.com, a web-based service for fleet managers. Membership discounts will apply to customers of both Dossier32 and the 24/7 Fleet Online ASP.
