Arrow Truck Sales Inc. has introduced an online system which will allow certified used truck dealers to buy or sell used trucks over the Internet.
For over a year, the company-owned branch locations of Arrow Truck Sales have been using a web-enabled application to distribute inventory among its 19 locations in the US and Canada.
Now, MyTruckConnection.com will allow outside dealers into the system. Dealers will have the opportunity to sign up beginning April 8 at the American Truck Dealer's Convention in San Antonio, TX.
Arrow Truck Sales, which expects to utilize the site to supplement it's own inventory purchasing, will offer the service to dealers for 3 months for the price of one. After that, a monthly fee will be charged.
Arrow already offers retail purchasers the ability to browse on-line through its inventory at www.arrowtruck.com. If the exact truck spec configuration the buyer requires is not available, a "TruckWatch" capability is offered, where an e-mail notification is sent to the buyer once a match is available. The "TruckWatch" feature will be available for MyTruckConnection.com inventory.
Volvo Trucks North America Inc., a partner of Arrow Truck Sales, will offer its dealers a version of the application for closed auctions.
