APRA & ITPA To Hold Joint Meeting
2/10/2003 — Automotive Parts Rebuilders Assn. (APRA) announced that the Heavy Duty Transmission Division of the association and the International Truck Parts Assn. (ITPA) will hold a joint meeting this spring in Indianapolis, Ind.
2/10/2003 — Automotive Parts Rebuilders Assn. (APRA) announced that the Heavy Duty Transmission Division of the association and the International Truck Parts Assn. (ITPA) will hold a joint meeting this spring in Indianapolis, Ind.
The combined meeting will be held at the Omni-Severin Hotel April 10-12. The meeting kicks off with an optional tour of the Caterpillar plant in Lafayette, Ind. on Thursday, April 10. This two-hour "walking tour" of the facility will be followed by an informal reception at the hotel.
On Friday, April 11, a tour of Allison plant is included in the regular registration package. This all-day event will include the distribution center, a film and a chance to drive trucks with Allison equipment over their test track.
Saturday, April 12. is jam-packed with speakers. The chairman of ITPA, Jack Lyons Jr., and the chairman of the APRA Heavy Duty Transmission Division, Dave Burkhart, will give opening remarks and introductions. The technical sessions include Todd Kindem from Dana Corp., who will give a presentation entitled, "Overview of Dana's Heavy Vehicle Technology and System Service Division," and Rich VanSlambrouck from Eaton Corp. will present "Eaton MD/Mobile Diagnostics."
Concluding Saturday's speakers will be Gerry Cecil from Universal Underwriters Group, who will give an overview of the firm's insurance program.
