Truckload carrier Anderson Trucking Service of St. Cloud, Minn., has revamped its web site using a suite of e-business software applications from BroadVision of Redwood City, Calif.
Based on BroadVision’s One-To-One Enterprise product, Anderson’s new site offers customers, employees, and owner-operators a wide range of personalized information, logistics and e-business services.
According to a company announcement, the most popular feature on the site allows customers to track shipments by checking a page that updates locations in real time with information from QUALCOMM units in each truck. This assists customers in scheduling deliveries to meet just-in-time manufacturing commitments. Anderson's 12,000 owner-operators can check for available loads on a web page updated every 10 minutes.
