During a press conference at the 2009 Mid-America Trucking Show, Ancra International, a leader in load securement innovation, discussed its vision and how it plans to harness the momentum of its recent acquisition to positively impact the marketplace.
"The results and feedback surrounding our October 2008 purchase of S-line Cargo Control and Safety Products have been nothing short of exceptional," said Ralph Abato, director of sales and marketing for Ancra. "We're already using our stature as the largest load securement and cargo restraint company in North America to help our customers in this challenging economy."
Only technically proficient, professional laboratories that maintain an auditable record keeping system, have a test equipment calibration program and have demonstrated the ability to test every aspect to the relevant safety standard are granted AMECA accreditation Abato indicated that Ancra has expanded its retail offerings by a factor of more than 25 percent. "New product depth represents important new sources of revenue for our distributors," said Abato. "A broader range of products means greater customer choice and our 2009 catalog features over 100 new part numbers."
New products such as the Second Deck Pallet Deck and the Captive Track System are now available to Ancra distributors, representing one of the largest distribution networks in the nation and enhanced services such as complete metal fabrication, including custom welding, press break and stamping are also now being utilized by customers.
"The entire industry will benefit from competitive pricing that can now be achieved through our increased buying strength," said Abato. "To draw attention to this advantage, Ancra recently introduced a deeply discounted version of our most popular 4-inch by 30-foot winch strap with a flat hook. The commemorative strap, featuring both Ancra and S-Line logos, immediately benefited the marketplace by causing competitive strap pricing to fall almost overnight."
