Propane company AmeriGas Partners, L.P. will use International Truck and Engine Corp.’s International Diamond Logic Builder Software
and International Diamond Logic Electrical system, which integrates communication among a truck’s engine, transmission, instrument cluster and body equipment.
International Diamond Logic Builder software allows fleets to customize the Electrical System Control module for specific specialized body equipment. AmeriGas used the Diamond Logic Builder program to write software features unique to the company and its truck applications so new AmeriGas propane delivery trucks operate on a uniform electrical architecture that affords better performance and security.
General service applications include wheel chock safety and stow, lights that turn on with windshield wipers, self-canceling work lights, audible and visual warning signals, auto neutral transmission, continuous monitoring of hydraulic oil levels and temperature, and marker and tail lights that flash when the power take-off is engaged.
For increased safety, the fleet is equipped with a hose reel out-of-stow alert, and spray-fill and side evacuation pull away protection. New security measures include International’s theft deterrent system, requiring the driver to enter a numerical code to move the vehicle after the engine is started.
AmeriGas Partners is the nation¹s largest retail propane provider, serving nearly 1.3 million customers from approximately 700 locations in 46 states.
