Ambest Adds 3 Little America Locations
Ambest Inc., a Nashville-based member-owned truckstop organization, has added three Little America locations to its member roster
Ambest Inc., a Nashville-based member-owned truckstop organization, has added three Little America locations to its member roster.
The Little America locations in Little America, Wyo., Cheyenne, Wyo. and Flagstaff, Ariz., are part of the Sinclair Oil Corp. Gold Truck Stop Network that includes 48 truckstops primarily in the mountains and plains.
“Over the past 24 months, Ambest has gone through some tremendous changes,” said Ambest president, Steve Allen. “We have spent a lot of time re-evaluating the complexion of our membership. Securing a relationship with a quality company like Little America further fuels the strategic direction of our organization.”
“The culture of Ambest very much parallels that of Little America,” adds Greg Iverson, fleet, lubes and truckstop manager for Sinclair Oil. “Little America caters to independent professional drivers with first class amenities. Because Ambest understands and appreciates the needs of professional drivers, the Ambest/Little America relationship is a natural fit.”
Joining Ambest allows Little America to become part of a national network of 140 truckstops, travel centers and service centers located throughout 37 states. In addition to the support of a national sales force, Little America and Sinclair Oil will benefit from extensive purchasing programs and comprehensive national marketing, including Ambucks, the company’s driver loyalty program.
“Ambest helps deliver a national extension of the Sinclair Gold Truck Stop network,” noted Iverson. “Sinclair Oil, at its core, supports professional drivers through independently owned truckstops. Clearly, Ambest does the very same thing from a marketing, purchasing, sales and service standpoint.”
The first of the Little America stores to begin carrying the Ambest name will launch in late August. At that point, the locations will begin issuing and redeeming Ambucks points. Ambucks is a reward program offered to Ambest customers free of charge. Drivers can earn points by having their Ambucks card swiped when making a diesel purchase at any of the Ambest locations nationwide. Points can be redeemed for merchandise at any Ambest location.
Every swipe enters drivers into weekly drawings for two chances to win $500 worth of points that can be used like cash in any location. In addition, drivers are entered into an annual Grand Prize drawing. Since the program's inception, the company has given away cash, prizes, and merchandise including a fishing boat, a Volkswagen Beetle, Corvette, a cruise and a Dodge Ram pick-up.
This year, the grand prize celebrates the “million reasons to stop at Ambest” with 1,000,000 Ambucks points (worth $10,000 in any Ambest location) awarded to one lucky winner. Drivers can enroll in the program by visiting any Ambest location or by visiting the company’s web site at www.am-best.com.
