A.MAZE Tracking Moves Beyond Traditional Wireless Tracking
GEOCOMtms, architect of the A.MAZE solution, says fleet managers and dispatchers will now have direct control over their trucks and operators to ensure safe driving, theft security and decrease costs
GEOCOMtms, architect of the A.MAZE solution, says fleet managers and dispatchers will now have direct control over their trucks and operators to ensure safe driving, theft security and decrease costs.
"This breakthrough in the A.MAZE Tracking system will benefit the industry in general," said Erick Demers, project manager at GEOCOMtms. "JMonitor enables compliance with safe driving habits at a distance. Data interaction from within the cab provides a feedback loop cementing the link between operations and the road, thus enforcing operational accountability with respect to company-set limits and the legal limits of the law."
Speeding and hard braking result in real-time exception reports that are instantly forwarded to the dispatcher. Dangerous situations are relayed immediately and can be addressed in real time.
"Furthermore, this new A.MAZE Tracking functionality allows remote control of optional digital Input/Output devices, that can stop truck thefts on the spot and help recover the vehicles when activated. Finally, it will allow companies to lower their insurance coverage fees," Demers said.
JMonitor captures exceptions, fault codes and performance data for immediate or scheduled transmission to the dispatch room. It imports data directly into the client's fleet maintenance/management software and it streamlines maintenance scheduling.
One can use the data to verify vehicle operational characteristics against design specs. The collection of state line crossing and GPS data, along with odometer readings, automatically and significantly reduces manual labor involved with fuel tax reporting and provides the foundation for electronic driver logs.
