Carrier Logistics Inc., Tarrytown, N.Y., has announced that Al's Cartage Ltd., Kitchener, Ont., has selected the FACTS freight management system.

Al’s Cartage serves the province of Ontario with an array of transportation options, including LTL, truckload, intermodal, distribution and consolidation. Carrier Logistics, an operations software provider, is known as CLI.
According to the CLI press release, Al's Cartage wanted a system with Web functionality, customer service and operational tools, and business analysis tools.
"We began our search with the criteria of finding leading-edge technology at an affordable cost," said Randy Frohlich, vice president and general manager of Al's Cartage. "We found this and a lot more in the FACTS system and I'm confident that this will assist us in continuing to gain market share."
The FACTS system, built on a Progress Software platform, includes a web-based customer service module that enables customers to prepare bills of lading and request pick-up information on-line in real-time. FACTS also includes a business intelligence component that highlights key indicators on terminal performance, customers, sales staff, and quality of revenue.
For more information on CLI, call 914-332-0300 or visit www.carrierlogistics.com.
