ALK has released PC*MILER/Streets 4.0 with web-enabled functionality and other enhancements.
The commercial street-level routing, mileage and mapping software is also equipped with the Comdata GeoFUEL truck stop network, which was added to PC*MILER15 earlier in the year.
Web-enabled PC*MILER/Streets-Server and PC*MILER/ Streets-Mapping include Windows- based web programming layers [COM/OLE and JavaT], allowing companies to access PC*MILER/Streets through their Intranet,
Extranet and Internet web sites using any browser.
The Comdata GeoFUEL truck stop network allows dispatchers and drivers to identify and route to over 4,000 facilities across the country.
As with PC*MILER, PC*MILER/Streets now includes border crossing time designation for more accurate time estimates as well as multiple road postings and improved pick-list sorting for easier use of the software.
PC*MILER/Streets continues to include all of the North American point-to-point highway routing and mileage functionality found in PC*MILER15 plus nationwide street-level routing and mapping, and unlimited street-level stop optimization.
PC*MILER/Streets is a Windows-based application and is also compatible with the AS/400 environment. UNIX, mainframe and other platform compatibility is available through a TCP/IP interface.
