Alamo Truckstop To Fly Petro Flag
Petro Stopping Centers took over truckstop operations of the Alamo Travel Center located on I-80, Exit 20, East of Reno, Nev
Petro Stopping Centers took over truckstop operations of the Alamo Travel Center located on I-80, Exit 20, East of Reno, Nev.
Petro will manage the facility under a lease arrangement with Cashell Enterprises Inc. This acquisition brings the number of Petro locations operating nationwide to 60.
Over the coming months, Petro will complete a number of facility improvements to complete the Petro conversion process. These changes include:
-- Conversion of the existing restaurant to an Iron Skillet restaurant and installation of their All-You-Can-Eat, breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet with soup and salad bar.
-- Expansion of existing repair shop into a full Petro Lube Truck Maintenance Center with Truck Wash.
-- Installation of a new ventilation system to the private showers.
-- Improvements to the Travel Store to include a self-service snack bar.
-- Partial repaving and landscaping of the parking lots and fueling lanes.
Many of the existing Alamo Travel Center employees will remain as employees of Petro Stopping Centers. In addition, the motel and casino located on the property will continue to operate under the existing management and are unaffected by Petro's acquisition of the truckstop and restaurant operations.
