Integer Research has set the agenda for its Diesel Exhaust Fluid Forum on Oct. 8-9 in Las Vegas, which includes a panel discussion moderated by Steve Sturgess, executive editor of Heavy Duty Trucking.
The event will be a forum for discussing key issues surrounding the selective catalytic reduction truck markets and diesel exhaust fluid supply infrastructure as new emissions regulations come into effect. It will be a gathering of fleet managers, truck stop owners, OEMs, truck manufacturers, government fleets, procurement, logistics and business development professionals.
Sturgess' panel, "Large motor carrier fleets: Will large SCR medium and heavy duty truck fleets become commonplace on US roads and highways?" will cover the purchasing expectations of large fleets going into 2010 and how large fleets plan to go about procuring DEF at the truckstop. The panel will also discuss how home depot refilling will play into DEF usage, and it will also take a look at how exhaust gas recirculation and selective catalytic reduction vehicles compare.
The conference will also include a question and answer session to help small and medium size fleets develop a plan for using DEF in the future. This session will allow fleet operators the opportunity to put all their burning DEF questions and concerns to DEF equipment suppliers, DEF suppliers and truck manufacturers.
Other topics to be covered at the forum include commercial strategies for DEF decision makers; SCR markets in the U.S. on and off the road; technology; the North American DEF infrastructure; DEF supply from plant to nozzle; equipment, supply and certification; and user compliance and experience.
