Adkins will be responsible for all aspects of the two companies as they work toward improving and expanding their scope of operations.
Mr. Adkins has more than 26 years of experience in the truck industry with emphasis on leasing, dedicated logistics, and parts and service management. His most recent position was with a large leasing and dedicated contract carrier operation where he served as Executive Vice President for nine years. In this position he was responsible for over 6,000 trucks and trailers. He also worked for Rollins Truck Leasing in various senior management positions for 17 years.
"We are fortunate to have someone with Ken's background and experience join our team," said Terry Young, principal and owner of the parent company. "He is a proven leader with a strong track record in operational efficiency and steady growth and will provide the direction needed to navigate today's evolving transportation industry. This development comes at a good time. Business is getting stronger and the outlook is bright. There are many opportunities for growth, expansion and acquisition that I look forward to focusing on while Ken takes over the running of our day-to-day operations."
