Dave Fluharty has joined ACT Research as senior staff statistician.

He will collaborate with other members of the ACT team to enhance reports, forecasts and research with statistical modeling, data visualization and advanced analytics.

Fluharty has more than three decades of experience in the motor vehicle industry at several Tier One suppliers and a U.S. automotive OEM. Most recently, he was manager of market forecasting and research at a major commercial vehicle parts supplier. During his career, he has made individual and managerial contributions in forecasting, statistics, simulation, economic and strategic analysis, metric development and reporting, finance, marketing, research, quality, reliability, training and government.

Fluarty has a broad education background with a Ph.D. in educational evaluation and research (Wayne State University), a graduate certificate in applied statistics (Oakland University), an MBA in business economics and finance (University of Chicago Booth School of Business), a master's in international relations (University of Chicago), and a bachelor's in political science (Wheeling Jesuit University).
