Affiliated Computer Services Inc. (ACS), a Texas firm that provides business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, has launched FreightForm EXPRESS, a new product designed to serve the needs of freight brokers, drivers and logistics companies.

FreightForm EXPRESS utilizes ACS’ proprietary TripPak SCANNING software to provide a number of enhanced electronic tools and imaging capabilities for the freight transportation industry. More than 350 full-service truckstops throughout North America offer TripPak SCANNING document imaging services, which provide a cashier-assisted and kiosk-based scanning service to expedite the collection and processing of proof-of-delivery documents and other records.
FreightForm EXPRESS creates an easy, accurate way for shippers and brokers to distribute their special handling instructions that drivers follow to help ensure trip documents are scanned promptly and even shared with multiple parties. With this technology, brokers now have a seamless mechanism for paying drivers or owner/operators, as well as invoicing the shipper. Custom freight labels can be generated on-demand and onsite by fuel desk clerks at participating TripPak SCANNING truck stops.
Lynn Blodgett, Group President of ACS Commercial Solutions, said, “FreightForm EXPRESS enables freight brokers to attract quality capacity providers, increase cash flow, promptly obtain signed documents, and dramatically decrease their billing cycle, allowing all parties to be paid much more promptly, while still meeting shipper requirements for proof of delivery. Drivers gain peace of mind, knowing their documents have been scanned for immediate processing.”
Original documents and images are available online from a secure image center. Clients choose how they would like their information integrated with their imaging platform. ACS has a dedicated web site for all of TripPak’s truckstop imaging services where drivers can access their trip documents online within minutes using the information provided on their TripPak SCANNING receipt.
Freight brokers and logistics companies who wish to add FreightForm EXPRESS capabilities to their supply chain management strategy can work with the TripPak team to distribute a new form throughout the system in minutes. Their fleet partners direct drivers to utilize TripPak SCANNING capabilities at truckstops throughout North America to submit proof of delivery to brokers and shippers directly from the field and also present trip documents directly to the fleet using the same tools.
Established in 1989 as Truckload Management, Inc. (TMI), the company was acquired by ACS in February 2004.
