Iowa 80 Truckstop announced that Aaron Tippin will be performing at the 30th Anniversary Walcott Truckers Jamboree on July 9, 2009 at 7 p.m.
The concert, sponsored by Mobil Delvac, is part of the 30th Anniversary Walcott Truckers Jamboree, to be held July 9-10, 2009 at Iowa 80 Truckstop, I-80 Exit 284, Walcott, Iowa.
In addition to the live Aaron Tippin concert, this year's event will feature a gigantic anniversary cake; over 200 exhibits; a Super Truck Beauty Contest, Antique Truck Display; Iowa pork chop cookout; Trucker Olympics; carnival games; live music; and a fireworks display. Admission and parking are free. Shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.
The Walcott Truckers Jamboree began in 1979 to celebrate America's Truckers. The first Jamboree only attracted a few hundred drivers, whereas today it attracts 30,000 drivers.
"We are honored to have been serving the professional driver for 45 years," says Delia Moon Meier. "The Walcott Truckers Jamboree is our way of saying Thank You to drivers for the work they do and to let them know that we appreciate that they choose to stop at Iowa 80."
