75 Chrome Shop Truck Beauty Show Draws Hot Trucks
Kim and Tommy Turner of Cynthiana, Ky., and Bob and Shelly Brinker of Grayling, Minn., won best-of-show trophies at the 75 Chrome Shop Truck Beauty Championships in Wildwood, Fla., held April 27-29.
Michael Blakeslee, Wolcott, Conn., took away the Roadworks Best Chrome trophy with his 2002 Peterbilt dump truck.
Kim and Tommy Turner of Cynthiana, Ky., and Bob and Shelly Brinker of Grayling, Minn., won best-of-show trophies at the 75 Chrome Shop Truck Beauty Championships in Wildwood, Fla., held April 27-29.
The Turner's beige and brown 1995 Peterbilt 379 and Transcraft trailer was the best combination while the Brinker's 2000 Freightliner Classic with a "Legend of the Black Pearl" of the Caribbean theme was judged top bobtail.
Produced by Stars & Stripes Show Truck Events, this year's competition drew a large number of admiring visitors.
Ramon Sanchez of Miami won top prize in the Bobtail Limited class while Clint Dicks, Lake City, Fla., was tops in the Combo Limited class.
Other special award winners included Michael Blakeslee, Wolcott, Conn., who took away the Roadworks Best Chrome trophy with his 2002 Peterbilt dump truck, and Joe Tartaglia, Thomaston, Conn., who won the TruckRodz by Jones Performance Best Theme award with his 2003 Kenworth W900L.
