The 2006 edition of the Mid-America Trucking Show shattered every record for heavy-duty trucking tradeshows, with 1,144 exhibitors representing 46 states and 11 foreign countries.
Not to mention breaking show attendance records with 80,291 badged attendees from all 50 states and 59 foreign countries.
With the new wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center being completely sold out, the show raised the bar for total exhibit square footage to 1 million square feet indoors and 200,000 square feet outdoors.
"As more and more companies realize the power and reach of the Mid-America Trucking Show, we expect the show to continue to grow and surpass long-established show records," said Toby Young, vice president of Exhibit Management Associates Inc.. Show attendees used the three show days to visit all of the various indoor and outdoor show features including: The 6th Annual Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Championship, Mid-America’s Big-Rig Build-Off, The Expediter Experience, Mid-America’s Recruitment Center, and Mid-America’s Internet and Technology Center to name a few.
Trucking celebrities and favorites, including cast members from "Trick My Truck," Richard Petty, Aaron Tippin, Ken Schrader, Kasey Kahne, Chubby Checker, Paul Sr. and Mikey Teutel from Orange County Choppers, and many more made appearances to the delight of MATS attendees.
