Landair Transport Inc. and KLLM Transport Services have signed on to Transflo Express, Pegasus TransTech’s truckstop scanning service.
"We're determined to not only decrease paperwork coming through our business, but eliminate it completely" said Andrew Mantey, CFO for Landair. "Transflo Express gives us the opportunity to streamline paperwork processing—and do so in a way that decreases our DSO. Plus, we're always looking for new ways to make life easier and better for our drivers. We want to get to the point where we can pay drivers on a daily basis. We see Transflo Express as a powerful tool in our efforts to make Landair a great place for drivers to work."
Mantey said the proven performance of Transflo Express truckstop scanning was also a factor in Landair's decision.
"A number of very good carriers whom we respect are using Transflo Express. That made our decision much easier," Mantey noted.
At KLLM Transport Services in Richland, Miss., driver and owner-operator satisfaction was the primary reason for the switch to Transflo Express.
"The positive thing for our drivers is they're now able to get paid quicker and get resolution to their trips earlier," said Jim Richards, KLLM senior vice president, operations and sales. "Drivers can now have their documents scanned at a truckstop up until the payroll cutoff and still be paid that same week for that trip, which is a huge advantage. Transflo Express has also given us the ability to offer next-day pay to our owner-operators. They have their bills scanned at a truckstop and upon receipt of those documents, we load the money for that trip on to their payroll."
Richards said Transflo Express also offered KLLM opportunities to improve customer service and grow without adding headcount.
"Our customers can log on to our web site and look at their PODs. Transflo Express will let us have PODs posted for customer review two to three days faster, which means we're delivering a higher level of service. Transflo Express also lets us eliminate the need to have three or four people dedicated to opening trip envelopes. And, we cut about two days off of our DSO in the process," Richards explained.
Transflo Express is a service provided by Pegasus TransTech at participating truckstops nationwide.
