Diesel Forecast Moves Lower

A new government report is predicting diesel prices will be lower than a previous forecast, due to an expected decline in the price of oil along with other factors. The U.S. Energy Department’s Short-Term Energy Outlook says after averaging $3.97 per gallon last year, on-highway diesel prices are expected to average $3.90 per gallon this year.

Bill Would Hike New Hampshire Diesel and Gasoline Taxes

New Hampshire is the latest among many states that are looking at raising fuel taxes. Legislation that’s received initial approval in the House would increase the state's fuel tax by 15 cents a gallon. It would be phased in over six years for diesel and over four years for gasoline.

Electrifying the Windy City

Chicago has ordered 20 heavy-duty, electric-powered trash trucks that will be the first of their kind in the nation.
