Tanker Fleet Manager Praises Air Disc Brakes

Product testimonials are convincing, especially if they're like the one delivered by Jim Fox, general manager and vice president of Pinnacle Express, based in Ann Arbor, Mich. He appeared at the June 9 introduction of SAF-Holland’s new P89 series of air disc brakes, and told truck writers that as a mechanic and million-mile former driver, he is a strong believer in disc brakes.
He’s been using discs on his company’s tractors and tanker trailers for some time. In an SAF-Holland promotional video, he says he sees great maintenance savings and impressive stopping power.
That makes me want to go out and order some. Air disc brakes are available on most new trucks and trailers from several suppliers, including SAF-Holland. Its new P89 series will be available soon (story here).
