With AI-driven insights, smart monitoring tools, and operational dashboards, our Lifecycle Management Solutions put intelligence to work for your refrigerated cargo. Thermo King’s state-of-the-art telematics and intelligent digital solutions, fueled by AI, provide comprehensive visibility into your fleet’s performance and cargo so you can make data-driven, on-the-spot improvement decisions when and where needed.

“Our comprehensive suite of connected tools gives users predictive monitoring, automation and diagnostic technology to help reduce total cost of ownership, keeping your fleet on the road and running efficiently,” said Dominic Hand, vice president of digital, Thermo King Americas. “With Thermo King telematics, you can increase uptime through proactive maintenance and reduce risks on the road.”

“What truly sets Thermo King telematics apart is its inclusion of artificial intelligence capabilities; we’ve embedded artificial intelligence in all four levels of telematics that we offer,” said Hand. “These tools give owners and drivers unprecedented visibility to exactly what's happening and the ability to remotely control equipment to make changes on the fly.”

Thermo King telematics offerings include the following:

TracKing® Telematics - Our core telematics offering, TracKing telematics enables full remote control of your fleet, providing real-time cargo traceability and asset monitoring to enhance uptime, improve fuel usage and help support compliance needs. With a TracKing telematics two-year service subscription included with each new Thermo King APU, trailer, and large truck product, this package includes our fleet performance dashboard, readiness score dashboard, and both fuel and operations reporting.

TracKing® Pro Telematics - This offering includes all components of the TracKing telematics package plus diagnostics downloads, an energy usage dashboard, benchmark analytics dashboard, predictive alert notifications, and alarm triage insights. These additional capabilities help identify improvement opportunities such as showing when doors are left open, when a unit is stationary for too long, and when a unit is running in continuous mode vs. cycle sentry mode, consuming more fuel than needed.

“Through its AI capabilities, TracKing Pro telematics also can predict up to two weeks in advance when there is going to be a challenge that needs attention,” said Hand. “This allows owners and drivers to take action before they put cargo at risk.”

Remote Operating Center - Our Remote Operating Center (ROC) combines 24/7 remote monitoring, guided response by our live operators and a cutting-edge algorithm that provides enhanced failure prediction capabilities. Our innovative approach effectively leads fleet managers and drivers through a rapid and comprehensive resolution process.

“The ROC adds a ‘white glove service’ on top of the telematics offerings because it combines advanced technology with technical support from our team of experts to diagnose alarms, assign criticality and implement a prescribed action plan when needed,” said Hand. “We still need human skillsets; and sometimes you just want to troubleshoot with a live voice; with Thermo King’s ROC, you can do just that.”

TracKing® Smart Trailer Telematics – Our most complete telematics offering, TracKing Smart Trailer telematics, delivers essential information on Class 8 trailers through sensor data on components, as well as video feeds from cameras strategically placed inside and outside the trailer.

“TracKing Smart Trailer Telematics is the market’s most comprehensive smart trailer platform solution,” said Hand. “There’s visibility to everything that's happening on the trailer, inside and out, from the brakes and tires to the lights and cameras.”

“These are some of the biggest costs that fleets face, other than fuel,” said Hand. “Using TracKing Smart Trailer Telematics, they’re able to extend the life between maintenance cycles, reduce roadside costs and improve safety. And, they can quickly address any claims related to road events or cargo,” he said.

TracKing Smart Trailer Telematics also informs you about vibration and other wheel-hub challenges so you can avoid wheel-off situations. Healthy tires benefit, too. “By optimizing tire inflation, fleets have found that they have been able to increase the life of their tires by as much as 50 percent,” he said.

“State-of-the art telematics tools and insights can make all the difference for your fleet by enhancing efficiency, safety, and reliability of refrigerated transport operations,” explained Hand. “It’s all about keeping your fleet on the road and maximizing uptime - for the long haul.”
