Velociti Inc., Kansas City, Kan., a mobile installation and deployment specialist, has promoted Deryk Powell to chief operating officer

As COO, Powell will be responsible for the company’s growth, diversity and strategic partnerships. Powell is currently vice president.
According to the Velocity press release, Velociti is currently the only company in the U.S. that cross-trains and certifies employees to do both transportation and wireless technology installations. This skill set gives Velociti the ability to perform many kinds of work for a single customer. Velociti has achieved double-digit sales growth every year since 1995 and now offers service in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Western Europe.
Velociti Inc. was founded in 1989 as a division of Central States Thermo King.
The company was created to provide mobile installation and service technicians that perform all aspects of technology deployments for the transportation, retail and warehousing market sectors.
