Continental has announced a price reduction for its VDO RoadLog ELD and ELD Plus electronic logging devices to be more price competitive with bring your own device solutions.

“Our new pricing structure offers today’s truckers a very affordable and sensible option for their ELD needs,” said Jay McCarthy, Continental VOD RoadLog marketing manager.

VDO RoadLog is a standalone ELD that comes in two versions. The VDO RoadLog ELD Plus adds cellular connectivity that can enable text-based messaging, driver monitoring, remote load and trip management, and more fleet management capabilities.

Both devices feature a log printer to help drivers provide information to law enforcement during an inspection. Through VDO RoadLog Office, the company offers an online component that can track logs, inspections and other reporting and fleet management components.
