USA Harness, Inc., a manufacturer of electrical wiring harness systems, has become certified to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems standard.
This registration was achieved Sept. 19, 2009, upon certification from Perry Johnson Registrars (PJR), and includes full design capabilities.
In becoming registered to ISO 9001:2008, USA Harness underwent an intensive internal evaluation process that included quality management system development, documentation formulation and review, workforce training, internal audit training, initial assessment, corrective actions and the clearance of nonconformities. A five-day registration audit by PJR completed the process.
The certification recognizes that the policies, practices and procedures of the company ensure consistent quality in both the customer service and manufactured product provided to customers. USA Harness is committed to maintaining the highest effectiveness and responsiveness in achieving its goal of complete customer satisfaction with 100 percent on-time delivery.
The company's quality policy includes conforming to customer requirements; constant communication with customers, suppliers and each other; continual review and implementation of process improvement actions; and evaluation of organizational performance.
The scope of the quality management system is the design and manufacture of low voltage electrical wiring harnesses and control systems to the commercial and military vehicle markets and other related industries, including heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
"Our decision to become ISO 9001:2008 certified is not only proactive in anticipating the demands of our current and future customers, but further demonstrates our commitment to providing quality products and service to all our customers," said Bob Norris, sales manager at USA Harness.
