Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab will be expanding, as its parent company has received licenses for 11 additional sites.
The new sites will be scattered throughout Texas, California, New Mexico, New Jersey, Indiana and Oklahoma. The first franchise will be opening up in Oklahoma City, Okla., within the next three months, followed by one in Dallas during the first quarter of 2010.
Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab is a nationwide network of retail health clinics at Pilot Travel Centers, designed to meet the demand of America's 3.4 million over-the-road drivers. Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab clinics meet the needs of the trucker while driving down healthcare costs for the entire industry through Convenient Care Medical Services, Lifestyle and Wellness Programs, and DOT Testing. It has grown to more than 300 locations in 41 states, with plans for a total of 80 sites throughout the U.S.
Dr. Royce Brough founded The Brough Group International in 1977 as an emergency physician staffing company, providing services to community hospitals in Texas, Georgia, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Over the years, the company has expanded to provide emergency physician coverage, ownership of medical clinics, ownership of a community hospital, and other medically related endeavors.
Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab, one of these medical ventures of The Brough Group, began offering franchising and licensing opportunities within a limited number of markets in February 2009.
"Keeping with our mission to deliver convenient healthcare to professional drivers coast to coast, we are pleased to be working with Dr. Royce Brough to grow a national network with velocity through franchising and licensing," said Bob Perry, president of Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab.
"Professional over-the-road drivers need to be taken care of just like the rest of society, and Roadside Medical's approach of providing not only medical care, but a comprehensive wellness program is key to keeping them on the road," said Dr. Brough.
