The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has launched the 511 Wisconsin app that provides statewide travelers with information on traffic conditions.
The free smartphone app reports current information on traffic incidents, delays, backups, closures, detours, work zones and weather-related road conditions. The app relays the information through traffic alerts that can be programmed to align with the user’s favorite travel areas.
The app also includes nearly 400 traffic camera live-feeds to view road conditions as well as travel times and speeds for highly traveled routes. It displays road work information including dates and times of full closures and lane restrictions and provides up-to-date incident notifications.
