TripPak Mobile 6.0, an upgrade to the mobile scanning solution, includes auto corner detection to help with image cropping, de-skewing of images, image rotation, and a document scoring management tool to help ensure image quality.
TripPak Mobile gives drivers the ability to update their trip status, confirm pick-up and delivery with signature capture, and capture trip documents for submission, all from the driver’s tablet or smartphone. The new upgrade for TripPak Mobile provides additional resources to ensure image quality when submitting documents to their carrier.
“TripPak Mobile is one of our fastest-growing solutions, and this new upgrade is part of our commitment to innovation and improving our solutions to create a better experience for carriers and drivers,” said Kelley Walkup, division vice president and general manager, TripPak. “Mobile scanning is undeniably leading the way in document submission, and with this upgrade, drivers and carriers can be confident in the quality of the images submitted through TripPak Mobile.”
Auto corner detection launches when drivers capture their trip documents using their mobile device, and then drivers have the opportunity to crop the image. In the new upgrade, TripPak Mobile automatically detects the corners of the document and eliminates any unnecessary space around the document prior to submission. Each corner can be adjusted independently for more accurate document processing of the photo.
The new upgrade also includes de-skewing of images, so that when photos are taken at an angle, the application has the ability to correct those angles and allow for better capture of images prior to submission.
Image rotation is an additional enhancement to the application’s upgrade. When the user is in the “Review” step, located at the bottom of the review screen is an image rotate icon, which allows the user to rotate the image in view before submission. Ensuring the readability of the images received by the carrier is an important hurdle for success in mobile capture, and this new image rotation feature provides enhanced quality for document delivery.
Another feature that helps ensure image quality is the new document scoring feature for TripPak Mobile 6.0. With the new upgrade, each document is now being scored on the user’s mobile device, providing immediate feedback on the overall quality of each document. If the score does not meet the threshold established by the carrier, it is rejected and the user is asked to retry with better lighting.
