MATS, LOUISVILLE -- Making its debut this week at the 2014 Mid-America Trucking Show is Trail King Industries’ prototype All-Aluminum Center Frame Step Deck trailer.

Trail King’s new All-Aluminum Center Frame Step Deck is a project that was years in the making. The new TK80AACS features corrosion resistance, all-aluminum framing, armor-coated landing gear and zinc-plated steel components as standards.

According to Rick Farris, Trail King’s vice president of sales and marketing, the new AACS is lightweight yet durable, with a low deck height designed to accommodate taller payloads with multiple cargo load configurations.

Farris noted that the tare weight of the new all-aluminum step deck trailer is 9,730 pounds for the 53-foot with a slider option. The trailer will be released to market in mid-summer and will be manufactured at the company's plant in West Fargo, N.D.

Trail King Industries is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2014, marking an important milestone for the South Dakota- based company that had its beginnings as Western Ag Sales. Since that time, Trail King has undergone a 40-year transformation to emerge a manufacturer of specialized trailers.
