American Green Ventures SpillFix Industrial Organic Absorbent is designed to absorb hazardous liquid spills on contact and is made of all renewable organic material.

It works with liquids including oils, fuels, solvents, paints and chemicals. SpillFix is made from a bi-product of coconut, which is an organic renewable resource that is non-carcinogenic, contains no chemicals and is silica free.

SpillFix needs 80 percent less product to clean up spills than clay-based absorbents, according to the company. The absorbent is dust free, non-abrasive and leaves no residue. It can also be used to clean up more than one spill due it its absorbency and is landfill safe according to U.S. EPA standards, allowing for a lower disposal cost.

SpillFix absorbs hydrocarbon spills by encapsulating the liquid and trapping it inside its hollow channel structure. SpillFix that has absorbed hydrocarbons can also be used as a fuel source in energy producing incinerators.
